Job Title
Grass Valley Surgery Center is looking for a Part Time Registered Nurse PreOp PostOp.
Job Summary
Plans, coordinates, and oversees care for patients in PreOp PostOp. Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to other team members. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the manager, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits, and projects.
Monday‑Friday work schedule. No call required. No nights, no weekends, no holiday work hours. Part‑time status requires 20‑29 hours per week. Starting pay range is $50.00 to $63.00 an hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current CA nursing license
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS accredited by AHA
2+ years experience in Pre‑Op/PACU or other critical care
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
Understanding of principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
Ability to care for patients with changing medical priorities and respond accordingly
Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors
Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
Excellent teaching skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Demonstration of strong professional and ethical behavior
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and fellow employees (teamwork)
Strong customer service skills
Demonstration of accountability, creativity, innovation and receptiveness to change
Basic knowledge of performance improvement ideology
