Hematology/Oncology Physician

Locum Hematology/Oncology Opportunity Oregon

Bay Area Hospital is seeking a Locum Hematology/Oncology physician to provide outpatient cancer care coverage due to physician retirement and relocation.

Position Details:

• Outpatient coverage at a free-standing cancer center

• Minimum commitment of two weeks per month with ongoing coverage needed

• Schedule: 4 5 days per week, 8:30 AM 4:30 PM, with administrative time available

• Shared call rotation of 1:4, including seven days of call with one weekend

• Average outpatient volume of patients per day

• Inpatient rounding required only when patients are admitted for chemotherapy

• EMR: Epic

Practice Environment:

• Team currently includes three physicians and two advanced practice providers

• Radiation oncology services available onsite

• Patient mix is primarily oncology-focused, with limited benign hematology cases

Requirements:

• Board Certified in both Hematology and Oncology

• Oregon medical license preferred; willingness to obtain accepted

• DEA required

• Ability to obtain medical staff privileges

• Clean malpractice and background history highly preferred

• CAQH login required at time of offer

• NPDB self-query required at time of presentation
