Role: Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse / ER RN (Emergency Department Nurse)
Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,100 - $2,210
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 1, 2026)
Setting: Emergency Department — 64 beds (40 acute, 6 super track, 2 trauma, 10 CDU, 6 psych, 2 triage)
Shift: 12-hour nights (2:30pm – 3:00am), 36 hours/week
Location: Utica, NY (Central New York) — Zip code 13502

Job Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience, including pediatric ED care.
Active Registered Nurse license in New York (NYS RN) with NURSYS verification.
Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and TNCC required.
Proficiency with EPIC EMR — EPIC experience preferred.
Charge nurse capability highly preferred; experience in triage and trauma care a plus.
Completed skills checklist that matches Emergency Department specialty.
Up-to-date resume documenting travel nursing experience.
Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics.
Willingness and ability to float to other units as needed.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality emergency care to patients across the lifespan: newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
Assess and manage diverse emergency diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction (MI), cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
Operate and monitor specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
Perform triage, rapid assessments, and time-sensitive interventions consistent with ED nurse scope of practice.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, lab, and specialty services) to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation using EPIC EMR.
Participate in charge nurse duties and unit coordination as needed.
Float to other units within the hospital when required to support patient care.
