Requirements & Unit Details
CVICU experience is a MUST. Epic experience REQUIRED.
Unit Specifics:
Number of Beds: 19 licensed beds
Unit staffing: 9-10 RNs; 1 ASA HUC, 2 PCAs
Equipment: Ventilators, CRRT, EVD, BOLT
Documentation system: SORIAN
Scheduling: 12 hour shifts
Floating policy: to areas with competency. AMC has an internal float team that assists in filling holes. Travelers will be the first to float to “like” units including NICU, C7 Peds and D7 Gen. Peds when over staffed
Patient Experience requirements: Minimum 2 years recent PICU experience
Hospital Specifics:
Certifications: Academic Medical Center, Level 1 trauma center (adult); Children’s Hospital within a hospital
