Responsibilities
Provide direct, safe, competent and quality patient care in the Interventional Cardiology department.
Assist in performance of invasive cardiac or peripheral vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Communicate with patients, families and physicians to address patient needs.
Work under direction and supervision of the cardiologist/radiologist performing the procedure.
Assist cardiologist during procedures by operating ancillary equipment, anticipating and obtaining catheters, wires and other necessary inventory and medications as ordered.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accepted practice guidelines.
Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
Promote a safe work environment for staff and patients, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.
Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.
Qualifications
Current license in good standing.
Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials.
Two years of Cath Lab experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
