Position Overview
Department: Stanly Manor – Skilled Nursing Facility (ID 34319). Location: Abermarle, NC, 9 acres. Facility provides short‑term rehab, long‑term care, palliative care, hospice care and is an award‑winning nursing and rehabilitation center.
Status: Full time. Hours per week: 36. Schedule: 7 p‑7 a with alternate weekends. Pay range: $25.30 – $37.95 per hour. Sign‑on bonus eligible.
Responsibilities
Conduct assessments to determine nursing care needs based on data collection and interpretation.
Recognize and respond to the need for immediate intervention.
Document patient/resident observations, treatments, responses, and nursing care using the nursing process.
Assist RN in developing and revising the plan of care.
Communicate status changes to appropriate clinical staff.
Implement the identified plan under RN, physician, or other licensed practitioner supervision.
Monitor patient/resident progress and document outcomes to RN.
Prioritize workload to ensure efficient, high‑quality care.
Perform only nursing skills within legal boundaries and facility policies.
Document assessments, procedures, education, and communication with the healthcare team promptly.
Provide and assess patient/resident and family education under RN direction.
Physical Requirements
Walk, stand, sit, lift, reach, stoop, bend, push, and pull.
Lift and support up to 35 pounds when handling patients, equipment, or supplies.
Speak English clearly and understand instructions.
Maintain intact senses: sight, hearing, smell, touch.
Demonstrate finger dexterity.
Apply critical thinking and concentrate on tasks.
Respond quickly to changes in patient/resident or unit conditions.
Pass required physical abilities testing.
Education, Experience & Certifications
Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
BLS certification required.
Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or temporary LPN license in the state of residence, or meet National License Compact requirements.
Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required by the nurse leader.
