Intern, R&D –IV Solutions, Nutrition, and Scientific

Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of creative solutions to challenging problems associated with the design of our Pharmacy and Nutrition software and device product portfolio.
Support R&D Pharmacy and Nutrition Product Design Owner (PDO) in developing Pharmacy and Nutrition software solutions.
Collaborate in a cross‑functional work environment including other MPT R&D functions, regulatory, clinical, quality, manufacturing and marketing team members.
Apply strong technical curiosity and passion for work to support the mission of saving and sustaining patient lives.
Provide on‑market Pharmacy and Nutrition product support, ensuring software updates allow continued patient therapy.
Process data to identify and catalog compound structure information.
Perform method innovation, validation and qualification.
Prepare and provide weekly progress updates.
Project Focus
Container Verification Testing Optimization.
Development of an LC‑APCI‑MS method for NVOC E&L screening.
Development of a liquid chromatography‑atmospheric pressure chemical ionization mass spectrometry (LC‑APCI‑MS) method for orthogonal NVOC E&L screening using Xevo LC‑MS‑Q‑TOF and LC‑MS‑Orbitrap systems.
PVC Flexible Infusion Container formulation changes.
Protocol development, review of product requirements, execution of laboratory and manufacturing studies, and investigation of deviations or issues.
Container system process development and identification of innovative technology applications to improve processing for new and current products.
Qualifications
Rising Junior, Senior or Graduate student pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or related major.
Demonstrated academic performance and leadership potential.
Technical writing and data review experience in a regulated environment is preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership qualities and problem‑solving skills.
Positive attitude, team‑oriented, adaptable to change, and collaborative.
Active involvement in campus or community activities and organizations, preferably in leadership roles.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay rate: $26.00 per hour. Medic and dental coverage starts on day one.
