Integrative Health Programs – Part‑Time Faculty
We are seeking part‑time faculty members who have current content knowledge, who can balance academics with practical application, and who are committed to equitable student success.
Positions
PCC‑IHP Ayurvedic Yoga Health Program (200 & 300 hr RYT)
– The program seeks an applicant qualified to co‑teach the YTT modules. Term‑long courses are hybrid and taught quarterly on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 6‑8:20 pm PT. The instructor’s work includes:
Delivering yoga teacher training instruction and creating and delivering weekly hybrid sessions.
Grading and providing feedback on student work.
Interacting with students via email, Zoom, in‑person, and online discussion forums.
Program Outcomes (200 Hours)
Certified to register with Yoga Alliance.
Able to teach Yoga asana and pranayama classes with Ayurvedic focus.
Knowledge of dosha, season, and balance by time of year.
Minimum Instructor Qualifications
10 years experience as a Yoga Teacher at the 500‑hour level.
Current certification with Yoga Alliance.
Appreciation for and/or knowledge of Ayurveda (Certification by NAMA preferred).
Experience teaching adults new curriculum in a hybrid environment.
Benefits and Compensation
Eligibility for Oregon Sick Leave and retirement savings plans.
Hourly rates determined by the type of course taught (Lecture, Lab, or Lecture/Lab). Newly hired Part‑time Faculty generally start at Step 1 of the current salary schedule.
Likely eligibility for Oregon Civil Rights and Veterans' Preference (no visa sponsorship).
Administrative and Legal
Official transcripts are required within 2 weeks of offer date for degrees required in the instructor qualifications.
Veterans and disabled veterans who qualify will receive preference; documents required: DD214 for veterans, DD214 and a letter from the Department of VA for disabled veterans.
Positions require a successful criminal background check.
