Job Description
Phlebotomist II – Falls Church, VA – Monday to Thursday, 8:45 AM to 5:45 PM; Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM; rotational Saturday, 7:45 AM to 1:00 PM
Pay range: $18.39+ per hour
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications, as well as market and organizational factors. Eligible candidates may receive an annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities
Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
Administer oral solutions following established training.
Research test/client information and confirm and verify all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
Navigate a computer and accurately enter data – a requirement for success in this role.
Obtain identification, accurately enter billing information, and collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport as required by test order.
Perform all non‑patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and using email as appropriate.
Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.
Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner, such as maintenance logs and temperature logs.
Complete online and in‑person training courses on time.
Qualifications
Three years of phlebotomy experience, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Keyboard/data entry experience.
Flexibility and availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime.
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Effective communication in English.
