Overview
Substance Abuse Counselor at New Season Treatment Centers. Work with a collaborative treatment team to identify and meet the clinical needs of patients and support their overall well‑being. New Season is a national provider of outpatient treatment for opioid use disorder with over 30 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Work with patients to complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork.

Document patient progress through counseling and group interactions.

Complete psychosocial and individualized treatment plans within required time frames.

Identify and address clinical/case management needs.

Perform individual, group, and family counseling as required.

Provide at least 20 hours of direct one‑on‑one patient contact per week through counseling sessions.

Educate patients on treatment, health issues, and recovery steps.

Obtain urine drug screens and patient photo ID.

Act in the best interests of the program and company, protecting proprietary data and rights.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.

State licensure or certification as required (refer to state‑specific requirements).

Experience in the substance abuse field preferred, but not required.
