Multiple roles available: 1 X Role until 18 December 2026

Remuneration: Academic Level B $127K‑$150K (based on experience) + 17% super + annual leave loading

Location: Kensington Campus, New South Wales (onsite)

Position Summary
The Lecturer (Education Focused) plays a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and enhancing the student learning experience across UNSW’s Health Sciences programs, including exercise science, physiotherapy, pharmacy, and nutrition and dietetics. The position is responsible for designing and delivering engaging, evidence-based learning activities and assessments, supporting both undergraduate and postgraduate students, and fostering positive learning and employability outcomes. The role also contributes to course coordination and academic quality assurance, supports the development of innovative teaching approaches, and maintains ongoing professional and pedagogical development. In addition, the Lecturer participates in accreditation processes, school and faculty initiatives, and upholds UNSW’s values and standards, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing teaching and learning environment. Applicants with expertise and/or experience teaching neurological and/or musculoskeletal rehabilitation are strongly encouraged.

Key Skills and Qualifications

A PhD in exercise science / exercise physiology or related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.

Accreditation with ESSA as an exercise scientist, exercise physiologist or sports scientist.

Actively stays up to date with discipline knowledge and professional development.

Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.

Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.

Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g., curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales).

Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work-integrated learning (desirable).
