Position: Pharmacy Intern
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Schedule: Per Diem/PRN/As Needed - Some Weekends
Compensation: $20.00 per Hour

Responsibilities
Fills medication cassettes under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Prepares IV medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Prints out and fills label requests for First dose and Stat medications. All labels and medications are inspected by a pharmacist prior to being delivered.
Fills Floor Stock and Controlled Substances requests under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Delivers supplies and medications to other departments as needed.
Re-packages bulk forms of medications into unit dose packaging. Completes accompanying records which are then co-signed by the inspecting pharmacist.
Orders, unpacks and stores supplies. Ensures all items are verified against invoice before being stored.
Compiles outdated medications through monthly inspection of Pharmacy, and returns to appropriate vendor.
Performs Quality Improvement activities as directed.
Performs other duties as requested.
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an approved School of Pharmacy program at an accredited college.
Current State Board of Pharmacy Registration Certificate as a Pharmacy Intern required.
Preferred Qualifications
One to two year’s experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
