Propulsion Controls Engineering has a current opening for an Environmental, Safety & Health Technician I, with knowledge of OSHA Regulations 29 CFR 1910, 1915 and NAVSEA Standard Items; supporting our San Diego, CA location.
ESH Technician Job Summary
An ESH Technician serves as an environmental and safety resource for facility and subcontractor personnel working in a variety of industrial fields associated with ship repair. The areas include on board sea‑going vessels and ships; industrial shops; dry docks; etc., ensuring compliance with established Federal OSHA, State OSHA, NAVSEA Standard Items, and Maritime regulations and/or requirements.

Education
High School diploma or GED certificate or equivalent education and experience.
Experience and Knowledge
Ability to work at a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Must possess knowledge of OSHA Regulations 29 CFR 1910, 1915, and NAVSEA Standard Items.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Maritime knowledge (preferred).
Knowledge of proper investigating and reporting of incidents.
Strong communicator.
Ability to resolve complaints and negotiate with others.
