Role Description
This is an on-site, Freelance Audio Engineer role based in Hailey, Idaho. The Audio Engineer will be responsible for setting up and managing microphones, sound systems, and audio visual (AV) equipment for live events. This role also involves sound design and mixing to ensure audio quality, as well as troubleshooting and maintaining various audio systems on location. The candidate will collaborate with event coordinators and production teams to meet client needs effectively.
Qualifications
Experience with Microphones and understanding of their placement and use
Knowledge of Audio Visual (AV) Systems and their integration in live event productions
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Experience in live event production is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced and on-site environment
Skills
Knowledge of digital and analog mixing boards (Midas, Avid, Digico, Allen+Heath)
Knowledge of wireless technology, coordination abilities are a bonus
Knowledge of various speaker systems including JBL, L'acoustics, QSC
Understanding of rigging principals and safety
Bonus - basic understanding of lighting and video
