Compensation: $27.43 to $34.71 per hour (Unit 2 pay range schedule #8 – #10)

Schedule: Part‑time (hourly position covered by the State of Ohio Unit 2 bargaining unit)

Union: Unit 2

Location: 1756 Sagamore Road, Northfield, Ohio (United States of America – Ohio – Summit County – Northfield)

Responsibilities

Maintain the safety and security of Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare (NBH).

Patrol grounds and building.

Assist with and conduct investigations.

Respond to emergencies and code assists.

Escort, protect, and assist visitors.

Conduct searches.

Apprehend, arrest, and process criminal violators.

File affidavits, serve warrants, and subpoenas.

Appear in court and testify in criminal proceedings.

Perform police administrative duties.

Qualifications
• Possession of a certificate from an approved basic peace officer training program or completion of 20 years active duty as a peace officer per Section 109.78(D) of the Ohio Revised Code.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Successful completion of Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Program (OPOTC) fitness testing entry standards for new recruits.

• Probationary period of one year.

• Job Skills: Law Enforcement.

Additional Salary / Appointment Information
3% pay increase effective July 1, 2026.

Longevity supplement after 5 years of service.
