In this role, you will provide comprehensive cardiac care across hospital and clinic settings, including inpatient and call responsibilities from Sunday through Saturday. You will be supported by three inpatient Advanced Practice Providers, enabling a collaborative and efficient work environment. The position involves performing echocardiography, treadmill stress tests, and chemical stress tests, as well as interpreting these diagnostic studies. Candidates must be proficient in these procedures and familiar with Cerner EHR systems.
Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Cardiology
- Proven experience in echocardiography, treadmill stress testing, and chemical stress testing
- Ability to interpret diagnostic studies accurately
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
- Familiarity with hospital-based cardiology practices and EHR systems (Cerner preferred)
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in a hospital setting with inpatient and call responsibilities
- Advanced training or certifications in specialized cardiac procedures
- Additional expertise in heart failure management or interventional cardiology
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license in Michigan or eligible for licensing
- Minimum of 2 years of cardiology practice experience, preferably in hospital-based settings
Other Requirements:
- Availability for scheduled weekend and extended coverage assignments starting from April 20, 2026
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Documentation of current board certification and licensing
- Willingness to adhere to facility policies, including documentation and billing protocols
