Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Detroit, MI for an Executive Chef. The Executive Chef will oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, food preparation, and team management. Responsibilities include maintaining high-quality culinary standards, managing inventory and budgets, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and fostering a positive team environment. The Executive Chef will also collaborate on recipes, train team members, and lead efforts to consistently deliver exceptional dining experiences across the restaurant locations.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in culinary techniques, menu planning, and food preparation
Leadership and team management skills with the ability to train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff
Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and cost management in a culinary setting
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with regulations
Ability to create innovative and high-quality dishes while maintaining consistency across multiple locations
Effective communication and collaboration skills within a restaurant team
Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar leadership role in a restaurant
Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred but not required
