Environmental, Health and Safety Intern (EH&S Intern)
Location: US-GA-MIDLAND-MPC ~ 8801/8987 Macon Rd ~ BLDG MPC
Role Type: Onsite
What You Will Do
Partner with the leadership team and line supervision to ensure EH&S regulatory compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations, as well as adherence to P&W procedures and RTX EH&S Standard Practices.
Identify health and safety hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
Assist the EH&S team with tracking the implementation of EH&S initiatives and projects across the organization.
Gather data on open items from P&W sites regarding Safety, Health, and Risk Reduction metrics or projects.
Support the implementation of the Pratt & Whitney EH&S Management System.
Organize and maintain assigned EH&S policies to achieve and sustain compliance with regulations.
Participate in the site EH&S Council.
Conduct safety inspections and analyze audit findings to develop corrective actions and promote safe work practices.
Qualifications You Must Have
Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in an EH&S discipline or a related field (e.g., Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Biology, etc.).
U.S. citizenship is required as the position may involve access to systems/tools restricted to U.S. citizens.
Local to Columbus, GA, and willing to commute onsite five days a week.
Qualifications We Prefer
Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural awareness.
Experience with project execution.
Salary
Salary range: 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD.
