Freshwater Curated Goods is looking to add a highly organized and detail‑oriented Admin & Communications Assistant to our team. This role is essential to keeping our day‑to‑day operations running smoothly across retail, wholesale, and e‑commerce. We’re looking for someone who is a strong communicator, extremely organized, and a true self‑starter – someone who can take ownership of tasks, learn quickly, and operate independently once trained.
Responsibilities:
Manage and respond to all incoming email inquiries (retail, wholesale, general inquiries) in the Freshwater brand voice
Handle all Faire communication and backend management:
Responding to messages
Creating and managing orders
Processing returns
Manage Shopify backend, including:
Customer inquiries
Order creation
Returns + exchanges
Create and manage wholesale orders in QuickBooks, ASN shipping notices, and order labels for key accounts
Oversee backend operations for our Rep group via MarketTime
Maintain organization across all admin systems and workflows
Qualifications:
Strong communication skills with an understanding of professional email etiquette and customer service
Experience with or ability to quickly learn platforms like Faire, Shopify, QuickBooks, and MarketTime
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working in Excel and managing data
Self‑starter who takes initiative and requires minimal hand‑holding
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at once
Problem‑solver who can think ahead and anticipate needs
