AHMMC is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient Oncology to join our dedicated oncology care team. In this role, the RN will provide high-quality nursing care to adult oncology patients in an ambulatory setting, supporting chemotherapy/biotherapy administration, symptom management, patient education, and care coordination across the continuum.

Principal Accountabilities
Provide direct nursing care to outpatient oncology patients, including assessment, treatment administration, and monitoring
Safely administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive infusions in accordance with established protocols
Monitor patients for treatment‑related side effects and adverse reactions; respond appropriately and escalate care as needed
Educate patients and caregivers on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, side‑effect management, and follow‑up care
Collaborate with oncologists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members
Accurately document patient care, assessments, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
Support a culture of safety, quality improvement, and compassionate care
Participate in patient navigation, care coordination, and survivorship support as applicable
Qualifications
Required:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred or willingness to obtain)
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, emotionally sensitive environment
Preferred:
Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care or ambulatory nursing experience
Prior oncology nursing experience (outpatient or inpatient)
Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification or willingness to obtain within required timeframe
BSN strongly preferred
Experience with infusion therapy and vascular access devices (PICC lines, ports)
EMR experience
