Job Overview
The Online MBA (OMBA) program at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business offers an integrated graduate business curriculum to a global learning community of more than 1,700 students. The Learning Facilitator is a valued member of the teaching team, responsible for delivering an engaging, student‑centered online educational experience across multiple time zones and geographies. The facilitator works closely with faculty to manage content delivery and serve as the main academic touchpoint for students in the online module.
Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate the delivery of online course content in collaboration with faculty.
Serve as the primary academic contact for students, providing support and guidance throughout the program.
Facilitate student engagement, discussions, and learning activities in virtual environments.
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and third‑party vendors to optimize course materials and technology.
Mentor and coach peers or other teams as needed.
Qualifications
Must possess a conferred master’s degree (e.g., MBA or related advanced management credential). A business‑related graduate degree is preferred.
5+ years of experience in a delivery role such as teaching, or project/program/product management.
Self‑motivated with a start‑up mindset toward continuous improvement.
Excellent interpersonal and customer support skills.
A collaborative, solution‑oriented team player with a track record of transparency and proactivity.
Effective communicator open to giving and receiving constructive feedback.
Ability to collaborate remotely and learn new tools and technologies quickly.
Experience working with multiple constituencies (faculty, students, colleagues, third‑party vendors).
Experience managing competing priorities.
Familiarity with business concepts such as managerial economics, leadership, finance, ethics, data analysis, innovation, organizational behavior, risk, operations, etc., and willingness to learn to support students.
Adaptable and comfortable in a fluid environment.
