Adjunct Instructor, Fashion Design
The Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD) invites applicants for an adjunct instructor in the Fashion Design program. Qualified candidates will be experts in their field and bring industry knowledge and their own educational experience, incorporating that with curriculum to provide a comprehensive experience to students that will help them develop the skills necessary to transition into the workforce. We are seeking individuals who possess current subject‑matter expertise and/or teaching knowledge in the following course subject areas (but not limited to): Fashion Illustration, Flat Patternmaking (experience using Gerber Accumark software is a plus), Draping, Tailoring, Fashion Construction Techniques, and Surface Design (screen‑printing, working with dyes, shibori, silk painting, etc.) as well as special‑topic courses in related areas.
Responsibilities
Prepare course materials, handouts, weekly student homework assignments, grading assignments, and submit grades using Moodle.
Work closely with the program chair, engage with faculty, and mentor students.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills, initiative, dependability, empathy, and reliability.
Work effectively with individuals from diverse communities.
Position
Adjunct Instructor, part‑time
Qualifications
Terminal degree in Fashion Design or related field, and/or equivalent professional experience.
A minimum of three years of college‑level teaching experience is preferred.

Date of Hire: Fall 2026.
