Overview
The Associate Manager, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement leads and elevates various sub-work streams within the Procurement function. This role will drive best practices among site-based procurement teams, drive adoption of standardized sourcing processes, and lead key strategic sourcing initiatives to deliver cost savings/avoidance, operational efficiencies, supplier performance improvements, risk reduction, and compliance in a regulated environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strategic sourcing experience in life sciences or biopharma, comfortable managing a small team while partnering cross-functionally to influence outcomes and realize results.

What You’ll Do
Drives strategic sourcing initiatives and local/regional category strategy across key indirect categories.
Leads and oversees end-to-end sourcing events (RFI/RFP/RFQ), supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract execution in alignment with Legal, Quality, and Compliance requirements.
Champions strategic sourcing best practices in collaboration with other Fujifilm Biotechnologies sites, including standardized processes and reporting.
Supports business stakeholders and various partner functions such as Supply Chain, Finance, and Legal to align sourcing strategies with operational needs.
Supports Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) through vendor performance reviews, scorecards, risk assessments, and corrective action plans where applicable.
Supports ongoing process improvement across S2P lifecycle.
Identifies, quantifies, and delivers savings and value (cost savings/avoidance, process efficiencies, operational improvements, etc); track results against targets.
Supports business continuity and risk management, including dual sourcing, inventory strategies, and contingency planning.
Ensures compliance with corporate policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements, support audits and documentation readiness.
Contributes to category strategies led by Global Sourcing and maintains site-specific 1–3 year roadmaps; perform spend analytics, contract lifecycle management, and supplier market analyses.
Champions change management and stakeholder engagement across sites to enable adoption of Procurement support, tools, and processes.
Administers company policies such as time off, shift work, and inclement weather that directly impact employees.
Completes required administrative tasks (e.g., timecard approvals, time off approvals, expense reports etc.).
Coaches and guides direct reports to foster professional development.
Participates in the recruitment process and retention strategies to attract and retain talent, as needed.
Addresses performance gaps, employee questions and concerns, and partners with HR as needed for resolution.
Performs other duties, as assigned.

Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of progressive experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management and/or similar role OR
Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management and/or similar role.
Prior management experience.
Experience running competitive sourcing events and negotiating complex agreements.
Experience and familiarity with regulated environments; life sciences/pharma/biotech experience strongly preferred.
Experience and proficiency with procurement systems and analytics tools (e.g., SAP/Oracle, Jaggaer/Ariba/Coupa, contract management lifecycle tools, spend analytics).
Experience in supplier management and risk mitigation.
Preferred Skills
5+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing or Category Management role
2+ years of direct supervisory experience
Experience with Microsoft Office, and Smartsheet and ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Will work in environments that may require respiratory protection.
May work in Mechanical/Production spaces that may require hearing protection and enrollment in a hearing conservation program.
Will work in environments operating a motor vehicle or Powered Industrial Truck; may be required to operate a pallet jack.
Ability to discern audible cues.
