Responsibilities
As the Facility Security Officer (FSO), support 24/7 deployed ISR and Special Mission Aviation activities worldwide and enable teammates to operate at more than a dozen secure locations.
Serve as a first line of defense for Operations Security (OPSEC), Information Security (INFOSEC), Personnel Security (PERSEC), and Industrial Security, ensuring facilities, tactics, tools, and training to operate in sensitive, classified environments.
Enforce applicable policies and procedures and ensure compliance with NISP, NISPOM, SSA, DoDM 5200.01 Vols 1–4, DoD 5220.22-M, DoD 8500.01, and other federal security regulations.
Implement and monitor security processes in accordance with NISPOM and DoD Information Security requirements; audit information system security plans and procedures; and ensure physical security per company policies and local installation requirements.
Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining procedures and plans in accordance with DoD, NISPOM, and DCSA directives; coordinate with the Industrial Security Representative as required for approvals.
Conduct assessments of physical, industrial, personnel, and operational security controls; inspect systems and facilities that process classified information; manage access control and alarms.
Maintain visitor control logs and appropriate visitor badges; audit logs and records associated with classified operations procedures.
Perform as Assistant COMSEC Manager, maintain 100% inventory and report discrepancies to NSA COR.
Assist in security briefings for program personnel and ensure acknowledgement of responsibility and required training completed.
Maintain and manage cage code activities and accounts (DISS, NBIS, NISS).
Assist with SPOT, LOA, and CAC issuance.
Qualifications
Knowledge of the NISPOM and applicable security directives.
Knowledge and experience with physical, personnel, and industrial security requirements, including verifying security clearances, access badging, open storage classified areas, DISS, NBIS, NISS, and DIAS, and operating an SCIF.
Understanding of security threat analysis, identification, mitigation, and investigation techniques, and OPSEC principles.
COMSEC account manager experience, including familiarity with DIAS.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
Effective communication skills with all levels of management, both oral and written.
Ability to work independently in classified and unclassified environments while supporting CONUS and OCONUS aviation operations.
Work Authorization and Security Clearance
Applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be a U.S. citizen. Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required at time of hire, and the ability to maintain it throughout employment.
