
Sr Manager Inventory Control

Job Summary
Oversee and lead the teams responsible for field reconciliation of inventory and discrepancies throughout Medline’s distribution network. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive the achievement of specified goals in total inventory adjustments, service levels, and loss prevention.
Major Responsibilities
Lead the field inventory control teams to ensure timely reconciliation of inventory discrepancies while ensuring continuous improvement and streamlining processes.
Reconcile monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory adjustments to ensure accuracy.
Ensure timely completion of clearings and postings.
Raise awareness among management peers on issues such as ongoing transactional concerns, SOP compliance concerns, and DC trend concerns.
Identify the root cause of inventory trends and communicate the cause to the VP of Inbound and Inventory and other cross‑functional leaders.
Enhance, track, and report on key performance indicators, allowing performance improvements so that desired outcomes are achieved on time.
Develop and mentor staff through onboarding, open communication, training and development opportunities, and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.
Ensure compliance throughout the supply chain to all regulatory rules and guidelines.
Management Responsibilities
Typically oversee professional employees/teams or manage non‑professional employees through supervisors in manufacturing, distribution, or office environments.
Day‑to‑day operations of a group of employees.
May have limited budgetary responsibility and usually contributes to budgetary impact.
Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects; develop, recommend, and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies.
Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning.
Hire staff, recommend pay increases, perform performance reviews, train and develop staff, estimate personnel needs, assign work, meet completion dates, and ensure consistent application of organizational policies.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Work Experience: At least 5 years of supply‑chain experience and 2 years of management‑level experience.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong computer skills and prior experience utilizing databases and spreadsheets.
Preferred Job Requirements
Experience with WMS, SAP, Labor Management, and reporting systems.
Experience with medical products, consumer packaged goods, or other industries with case pick and re‑pack.
10 years of business experience with extended education.
At least 3 years of experience directly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work.
Solid knowledge of data analysis, inventory practices, and reporting.
Intermediate to advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, data tables, importing/exporting to Access).
Outstanding organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Anticipated Salary Range
$116,000.00 – $174,000.00 per annum. Actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
