Production Supervisor | 2nd & 3rd Shift Opportunities

Job Overview:
The supervisor reports directly to the Production Manager and has responsibility for managing the production in accordance with company guidelines and within customer specifications; ensures production, efficiency, quality, and safety; supervises, motivates, and directs a team of 15 to 20 employees in a high-paced work environment; plans materials, manpower, and equipment utilization during his/her assigned shift.
|Responsibilities:
Schedule and forecast gas phase orders to maximize efficiency.
Conduct Weekly inventory audits.
Gather all KPI’s for each machine to optimize efficiency and update BOMS
Assists, coaches, and develops front-line employees. Manage employee performance, attendance, and behavior to company expectations. Manage corrective action, coaching, and proactive employee communication to drive positive employee relations
Direct the production workforce for a given shift in the manufacture of ceramic fiber products toward specified schedules, productivity, and quality objectives.
Report production, material, and manpower usage, equipment, and process problems accurately and on a daily basis.
Promote teamwork among shift personnel and across functions. Maximize employee involvement in decision-making.
Maintain, assign daily tasks to avoid repetitive physical activity, and maintain job assignment equality. Train production team members to meet job requirements safely and effectively.
Recommend improvements and/or modifications to equipment and processes to increase productivity, minimize downtime, and increase efficiency.
Monitor personnel and equipment for unsafe conditions and actions. Act in accordance with all health, environmental, and safety standards.
