Reports To : Branch Manager

Location : Corpus Christi, TX

Position Summary
The Operations Manager contributes to the company’s overall success by managing and coordinating all aspects of warehouse operations and installations. This includes overseeing inventory management, order fulfillment, and coordinating with subcontractors engaged in installations to ensure customer satisfaction, compliance with company policy and procedures regarding production installations and warehouse management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and motivate warehouse team’s performance, to foster a productive and cohesive team environment.

Daily load out of sub-contractors

Ensure all orders are completed within the scheduled time to the satisfaction of the customer

Maintain inventory management systems to accurately track inventory levels of various materials such as carpet, pad, tile, plank, vinyl, etc., ensuring appropriate levels based on business needs

Order materials from approved RASA vendors as required to replenish inventory and fulfill orders promptly.

Conduct monthly inventory audits

Conduct monthly inspections of vehicles, machinery, and equipment to ensure they are in good working order, meeting safety standards, specific operational performance requirements, and ensuring optimum utilization.

Investigate customer complaints related to issues such as damaged items, overcharges, and shipment delays, and take necessary actions to resolve them, including making appropriate adjustments.

Examines items to be moved, to ascertain approximate weights and type of crating required

Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel

Inspect warehouse facilities to optimize layout and storage configurations, maximizing space utilization and streamlining workflow and recommend changes to senior management based on findings to enhance efficiency

Operates forklift, pulling material, making cuts, loading and unloading of the material

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Purchases moving equipment such as dollies, pads, trucks, and trailers

Plans pickup and delivery schedules for truck drivers

Answers inquiries on types of service offered rates, schedules, and areas serviced

Complete mill claims and file with the Corporate Operations

Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and safety compliance and identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains, implementing solutions to enhance warehouse productivity and performance.

Required Skills/Abilities

Excellent communication skills: able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form in the English language Bilingual in Spanish is required.

Advanced client service skills: focus on being client-centric; act as an advocate for the client by providing solutions that meet the client’s needs

Advanced reasoning/challenge‑solving ability: able to analyze situations fully to arrive at accurate, logical, and appropriate resolutions; able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; able to deal with challenges involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Detail‑orientated; able to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment

Adaptable and flexible

Strong team builder with the ability to direct, coach, and mentor a diverse team

Ability to quickly learn and maintain strong knowledge of the software, products, and services provided by the organization

Advanced mathematical skills: able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Strong working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn new/internal software and effectively navigate through multiple computer systems simultaneously

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degrees in business management or another related field; or

Five (5) + years of industry and leadership/management experience

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

Maintain a forklift certification

Have and maintain a valid driver’s license

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will directly supervise two (2) or more employees in the Warehouse Department

Will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Warehouse Department

Will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws; responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and managing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; managing time and attendance; addressing complaints and resolving challenges.

Travel

This position may require occasional travel to Rasa Floors branches; additional travel may be required to attend various department or company meetings (e.g. company‑wide meeting, Operations meeting, etc.)

Physical Demands

Strength:

employee will frequently lift and move 1‑49 lbs., and 50+ lbs. with use of buddy system or forklift

Movement:

frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, use hands to finger, handle and grip, feel, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance, occasionally sits. manual dexterity

Audio:

employee able to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds; able to express or exchange ideas, to impart oral information to clients or the public, and to convey detailed, accurate spoken instructions to other workers

Vision:

position requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

employee works in a warehouse setting and is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, extreme cold and extreme heat, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; and risk of electrical shock. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, box cutters, cutting machine.

Use of standard office equipment

The environment is fast paced
