The IT Business Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
As a Business Analyst within our Markets Technology—Prime Brokerage team, you will serve as the critical link between our front-office trading desks, risk management, operations (back-office), and technology engineering teams. You will be instrumental in analyzing complex business challenges and delivering innovative technology solutions that drive our trade lifecycle management, back-office operations, client billing (PnL), and regulatory compliance functions. This role requires a unique blend of deep domain expertise, technical acumen, and exceptional communication skills to ensure our technology platforms meet the evolving needs of the business.
Responsibilities
Requirement Analysis: Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
Solution Delivery: Act as a product owner for key initiatives, managing the product backlog in Jira, prioritizing features, and ensuring development teams have a clear understanding of deliverables.
Domain Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert on the Prime Brokerage trade lifecycle, post-trade back-office functions, client billing, and interest management.
Data Analysis: Utilize strong SQL and data analysis skills to investigate production issues, validate data integrity, and support testing efforts across complex technology infrastructure.
Stakeholder Management: Facilitate workshops, conduct meetings, and manage communication between business users and technology teams to ensure alignment and drive projects to successful completion.
Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance business processes and technology systems, driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Regulatory Adherence: Work with business teams to understand and implement solutions that meet evolving regulatory reporting obligations.
Qualifications
6‑10 years of experience
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis
Experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of business analysis
Education
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
