Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service and Collections Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, addressing inquiries, and handling collections activities. Your efforts will ensure the smooth operation of our financial services and uphold our commitment to exceptional customer care.
Key Responsibilities
Manage customer communications through various channels, including inbound calls and emails.
Handle account management tasks such as balance statement requests, payoff letters, payment plan setups, and UCC terminations.
Coordinate and follow up on bounced payments, ensuring timely resolution through emails and phone calls.
Work closely with underwriting to set up payment plans and modify existing agreements as needed.
Process legal actions for default accounts, including transferring cases to attorneys, signing off on summons and complaints, and notarizing affidavits.
Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Proficiency in using customer service and collections software.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
A degree in finance or a related field is strongly preferred together with a minimum of 5 years experience in collections or a similar role.
