
Traffic Operations Civil Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and solutions-driven
Civil Engineer (Level I, II, or III)
to join our Traffic Operations team and contribute to meaningful infrastructure and public works projects from concept through construction. This position will be filled at a level commensurate with the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, offering opportunities for growth, hands‑on experience, and increasing responsibility. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated team while supporting the design, development, and delivery of projects that make a lasting impact on the community.
Salary Range: $29.08 to $78.93 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications
Responsibilities
Support a variety of engineering projects, both in the office and out in the field
Help plan and move projects forward from early ideas to completion
Prepare reports, updates, and project‑related documents
Visit project sites to observe progress and ensure work is on track
Follow established guidelines and best practices to help deliver high‑quality results
Work closely with team members and other partners to meet project goals
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
Must obtain NCEES Engineer Intern (EI) registration within two (2) years of employment.
2+ years of professional experience.
Must possess NCEES Engineer Intern (EI) registration (Transportation Land Use excluded).
5+ years of professional experience.
Must possess Professional Engineer (PE) licensure at the time of application and obtain Florida licensure within one (1) year of employment.
