Dizario Search is partnered with a leading chemical-based manufacturer and they are seeking an
Operations Manager
to join their team. This role integrates operations leadership, engineering oversight, plant safety, materials management, and team leadership, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement. We are seeking an experienced operations leader to build, develop, and lead a team through the startup of a pilot plant, while also overseeing and maintaining existing and future R&D spaces.
Operations Manager Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of pilot plant operations, including safety, maintenance, materials management, and production scheduling.
Lead and develop a team of 15+ employees, including supervisors and technical staff
Ensure equipment, processes, and materials are prepared and optimized for research, testing, and product development activities
Drive Lean initiatives to improve operational efficiency, workflow, and continuous improvement across the facility
Manage the overall facility, including laboratory spaces, equipment, compliance, and day-to-day operational performance
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Engineering, and Executive Leadership
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or related field preferred
Experience in startup, greenfield, or chemical-based manufacturing operations
Proven track record in capital equipment project execution and at least 5 years of experience in an operational leadership role
Lean and continuous improvement expertise
Skilled at implementing structure and processes in developing environments
