About the Role
Provides general in‑home support to clients by assisting with daily living tasks, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and coordinating services as needed. Communicates with clients and supervisors, monitors well‑being, and ensures accurate documentation while handling responsibilities professionally and confidentially.
Key Responsibilities
Receive case referrals from Supervisor and contact clients to arrange monthly schedule and determine services needed
Assist client with creating shopping lists, buy groceries and deliver to the client’s home
Gather laundry and wash in client’s appliances or transport to laundromat; fold and put away
Clean client’s home, which may include but not limited to dusting, wash, sweep or vacuum carpets and floors, scrubbing; clean and sanitize bathrooms, remove trash, change linens
Recognize, upon entry to household, robbery or injured or deceased client, and report immediately to proper authorities; remain on scene as required
Thoroughly and accurately document services provided to each client on a timely basis
Maintain receipts for purchases made and obtain client’s approval for payment
Accept Electronic Benefit Transfer cards, credit cards and checks
Be attentive to client’s needs and requests; return calls to clients and answer inquiries timely and in a professional manner
Inform Supervisor or any accidents or damage that may occur during the course of cleaning
Complete Random Moment Sampling (RMS) as required
Maintain strict confidentiality and appropriately manage sensitive information
Maintain files in a neat and orderly manner; receive and process e‑mails on a daily basis
Provide back up to co‑workers as needed
Maintain and increase knowledge and skills through attendance at meetings in‑service training sessions
Perform additional duties and assignments as requested
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of six (6) months of proven housekeeping experience. Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record. Must have access to, and use of own transportation.
