
Allocator | G-III Distribution Center

Location: On-Site in Lyndhurst, NJ
Position Summary
The Allocator will support merchandise allocation efforts for multiple divisions within the G-III allocations team. This role is responsible for optimizing inventory distribution, ensuring timely delivery to stores, managing complex order adjustments, and maintaining accurate reporting. The Allocator will also collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to support operational excellence.
Essential Functions
Execute allocation strategies to department and specialty stores based on sales trends, inventory levels, and business priorities.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to stores by partnering with production, sales, inventory, and quality control teams.
Oversee daily order maintenance, including date/price changes, cancellations, and urgent order adjustments.
Respond to escalated email requests and provide solutions for complex allocation challenges.
Support initiatives to improve allocation processes, reporting accuracy, and system utilization.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date reports, providing actionable insights to management.
Work independently and support high‑priority projects or special initiatives.
Position Qualifications & Competencies
Strong communication, problem‑solving, and multi‑tasking skills.
Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Experience with AS400 / ERP systems or similar inventory/allocation platforms.
Proficient in Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, and reporting functions.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex tasks.
Detail‑oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Strategic mindset with ability to analyze data and make recommendations to improve inventory distribution and sales performance.
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in
Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
1-2 years of experience in merchandise allocation, inventory management, or a related field.
Prior experience in a
retail, wholesale, or consumer goods environment
strongly preferred.
Prior experience working in or supporting a distribution center preferred.
Experience using
ERP systems
(AS400 preferred) for allocation, order management, or inventory control.
Advanced experience with
Excel , including data analysis, pivot tables, and reporting.
The pay range for this position is: $28.85 per hour/$60,000 per year (Annualized salary is based on a 40 hour work week) - $31.25 per hour/$65,000 per year (Annualized salary is based on a 40 hour work week)
