Overview
Loan IQ Infrastructure Consultant in Banking / Financial Services. The role supports, maintains, and enhances the infrastructure environment for the Finastra Loan IQ platform within a banking organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Loan IQ architecture, application support, infrastructure management, system integrations, database administration, and production support in mission-critical banking environments. This role requires hands-on experience in managing Loan IQ environments across Development, QA, UAT, and Production with a focus on high availability, performance, security, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Loan IQ Infrastructure & Environment Management — Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Finastra Loan IQ environments.
Loan IQ Infrastructure Management — Manage Loan IQ infrastructure across Dev, Test, UAT, DR, and Production.
Environment activities — Perform environment cloning, refreshes, migrations, and patching.
Monitoring — Monitor Loan IQ system health, application performance, and availability.
Troubleshooting — Troubleshoot Loan IQ server, middleware, and connectivity issues.
Application & Middleware Support — Support Loan IQ application servers, batch jobs, schedulers, and interfaces.
Middleware configurations — Configure middleware integrations such as MQ, SFTP, API gateways, and ETL tools.
Server Administration — Maintain Windows/Linux servers hosting Loan IQ components.
Remote Access — Support Citrix / Remote Desktop environments for business users.
Database Administration — Work with DBA teams for Oracle / SQL Server databases; perform database refreshes, backups, recovery, and performance tuning; execute Loan IQ schema changes and database scripts during releases; monitor database jobs, locks, space issues, and performance bottlenecks.
Production Support & Incident Management — Provide L2/L3 support for Loan IQ production issues; participate in major incident calls and root cause analysis; resolve outages, interface failures, and performance degradation; ensure SLA adherence for critical banking applications.
Release & Change Management — Coordinate Loan IQ releases, deployments, and change requests; support version upgrades, hotfixes, and patch implementation; maintain deployment runbooks and technical documentation; work with DevOps teams for automated deployments.
Security & Compliance — Ensure Loan IQ infrastructure meets banking security policies; manage user access, certificates, service accounts, and audit controls; support vulnerability remediation and compliance requirements.
Core / Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with Finastra Loan IQ Infrastructure / Administration
Knowledge of syndicated loans / commercial lending platforms
Experience in Loan IQ environment setup and support
Windows Server / Linux administration
Oracle / SQL Server database fundamentals
Middleware: IBM MQ, WebSphere, Tomcat, IIS, Apache
Batch scheduling tools (Autosys / Control-M / Cron)
Cloud / DevOps (Preferred) — AWS / Azure infrastructure knowledge
CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins / GitLab
Ansible / Terraform automation
Monitoring tools: Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Nagios
Banking Domain Knowledge — Commercial Lending, Syndicated Loans, Loan Servicing Operations, Payment processing, Regulatory controls
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of Loan IQ infrastructure / support experience
Experience in large banking production environments
Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills
Excellent communication with business and technology teams
Ability to work in on-call support rotations
Nice to Have
Loan IQ upgrade/migration experience
DR setup and disaster recovery testing
Shell / PowerShell scripting
Performance tuning expertise
