Skilled In Home Caregiver | Personal Care Specialist | San Diego North County
Responsibilities
Provide skilled personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
Perform safe transfers and mobility assistance using proper body mechanics and assistive equipment
Support clients living with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other cognitive conditions using person-centered, dignity-first techniques
Assist with meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping
Monitor and report changes in client condition to your care team and supervisors
Offer genuine companionship and emotional support that honors each client's individuality and independence
Qualifications
2+ years of in-home caregiving or similar hands-on experience
Valid California Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration
Demonstrated experience with transfers, lifts, and safe mobility assistance
Experience supporting clients with dementia or Alzheimer's (strongly preferred)
Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before start)
Reliable transportation and valid California driver's license
Current TB test (or willingness to obtain before start)
A warm, patient, and professional communication style — with clients and families
