Position Overview
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
or
Medical Assistant (MA)
positions are available in our reproductive health clinic. The role includes clinical and administrative duties such as patient intake, vital sign measurement, specimen collection, medication administration, equipment maintenance, and customer service. This is an in-person position, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm (subject to change). Salary:
$42,300.96
annually for CNA or
$45,381.44
annually for MA.
Key Responsibilities
Receive patients, gather pertinent data, and prepare them for provider visits.
Answer phones, schedule appointments, update databases, and maintain records.
Review histories, measure vital signs, and collect laboratory specimens.
Maintain clinical areas, equipment, and supplies; clean exam rooms and instruments.
Assist providers during exams, administer medications, and provide medical supplies as ordered.
Use the Electronic Health Record (EHR) for appointments, documentation, and billing.
Collect clinic fees and perform daily cash register closeout per department policy.
Respond to medical record requests in accordance with HIPAA.
Participate in departmental emergency planning and community public health promotion.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional workplace image.
Perform other duties as required.
Required Experience / Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two (2) years of relevant clinical experience.
Must possess a valid CPR certification.
Must be a registered or certified nurse aide for CNA, or a registered medical assistant for MA.
Must pass prerequisite background investigation, drug screening, and physical examination.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking, and translation).
Additional Requirements
In-person presence is essential; remote work is not available.
Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm (subject to change).
Work in a noisy environment with potential exposure to infections, blood, and contagious diseases.
Must lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
Must provide proof of required vaccinations or tuberculosis testing within sixty days of hire.
Position may close without advance notice if a sufficient number of qualified applications are received.
Supervision
This classification has no supervisory authority and receives intermittent supervision, following established standard operating procedures.
