We are seeking an EKG Technician (PRN) to join HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital. The hospital is part of HCA Healthcare, a leading provider of healthcare services.
Job Summary
We are seeking an EKG Technician to perform EKGs and apply Holter monitors to record patient cardiac rhythm data for diagnostic purposes. You will maintain accurate digital study archival in Pyramis, assign digital studies to reading physicians, and ensure study results are distributed to patient charts and referring physician offices after interpretation. You will work with a collaborative team that cares for patients and families.
In this role you will:
Perform quality diagnostic EKG or Holter studies with the ability to troubleshoot study difficulties and deficiencies for all age groups.
Produce timely digital EKGs, computer uploads, and EKG assignment for physician interpretation.
Educate patients on the study being completed.
Timely and accurately report distribution to inpatient floors and physician offices.
Job Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Vocational or technical education preferred
EKG certification within one year
BLS—American Heart Association BLS Provider card required
Previous EKG or Stress Lab experience preferred
