Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and efficient Clerical Officer to support our Patient Administration Team at Newark Hospital. The main purpose of the role is to provide high quality customer service to patients attending the hospital, ensuring that patient case notes are available for all hospital attendances and that each set of notes contains all necessary paperwork and correspondence—supporting the SFHT Patient Pathway. The position involves regular lifting and moving of patient case notes, often in boxes weighing up to 25kg.

Key responsibilities

Provide a high quality service by ensuring the location, appropriate preparation and tracking of clinic documentation.

Ensure timely provision and preparation of case notes for out patient appointments.

Support the timely progress of patients through the 18 week pathway.

Regular lifting and moving of patient case notes, often in boxes weighing up to 25kg.

Person specification
Knowledge Requirements

Computer literate, with experience of using a keyboard.

Knowledge of Medway and NHS in general.

Qualifications

Good general education with GCSE English at Grade C or above.

Further Training

Knowledge and use of Medway.

Experience

Previous clerical and customer care experience.

Contractual requirements

Regular attendance and willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.

Regular physical requirement needed.
