Inpatient & OR Coverage Spine & Orthopedics Day + Call Schedule
365 Healthcare is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant for a locum opportunity in Syracuse, New York. This assignment includes inpatient rounding, OR support, and overnight call coverage within a collaborative orthopedic and spine program.
Schedule Model• 7:00 AM 5:00 PM: In-house rounding and OR coverage
• 5:00 PM 7:00 AM: Call coverage
• Weekend coverage required
• May 1 September 1
• Ongoing full-time coverage preferred
• Inpatient and operating room setting
• Adult patient population (18+)
• EMR: Epic
• Autonomous practice with physician support available
• Inpatient orthopedic and spine care
• First assist in surgical procedures
• Post-operative management and rounding
• Call coverage for orthopedic cases
• Total Knee Replacement (TKR)
• Total Hip Replacement
• Shoulder Replacement
• General orthopedic and spine surgical support
• Daily inpatient rounding and patient management
• First assist in orthopedic surgical procedures
• Post-op care and follow-up evaluations
• Respond to overnight call and patient needs
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and care teams
• Established orthopedic and spine program
• Collaborative surgical team
• Balanced OR and inpatient responsibilities
• Structured day + call schedule
• NCCPA Certified Physician Assistant
• Active New York license (in hand)
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Orthopedic surgical experience required
• No new graduates
• Clean malpractice and background history
• NPDB Self-Query report required
