Summary
The Dietary Aide / Server plays an integral role in the success of our team, our community and creating a place our residents are proud to call home. The primary purpose of this position is to provide assistance in all Culinary Department functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established Culinary Department policies and procedures.
As a Dietary Aide / Server, you will provide residents and guests with the best possible dining experience and deliver Platinum Service with each interaction. In this role, you are responsible to take meal orders, serve food and beverages, and answer questions regarding the menu.
Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance. Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures. Prepare cold food items (e.g., prep salad dressings, fruit trays, fill soup cups and other tasks as assigned).
Follow sanitary regulations at all times.
Provide Platinum Service with each dining experience.
Set up meal trays, food carts and set up the dining room with utensils, salt and pepper, napkins, and clean common areas prior and after meals are served.
Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas.
Pour hot and cold beverages for residents. Assist residents with opening their containers and condiments as needed. Pay special attention to resident and guest needs while they are enjoying their dining experience.
Prepare and deliver snacks to special events and parties hosted at the community.
Bus tables during and after the meals.
Stock food and supplies properly and clean storage areas as directed.
Provide support services to other dining rooms, during events and activities as needed.
Attend trainings and employee meetings as directed by Supervisor(s).
Clean and follow daily cleaning tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
Ability to understand and communicate written and verbal directions
Regular attendance, reliability and punctuality is necessary
Well organized with excellent attention to detail
Aptitude to work independently with excellent time management skills
Education and Experience
Previous serving and/or hospitality experienced preferred
