Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Evening shift (8-hour shift)
Provide personal care to residents, assist the charge nurse, and contribute to exceptional service as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Job Responsibilities
Provide personal care to residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort consistent with community policy.
Promote and support the greatest possible degree of independence for residents.
Advise supervising charge nurse of resident’s status at the beginning and end of shift.
Contribute knowledge of resident’s conditions
eeds to resident care plans.
Assist in the implementation of care plans as directed within the parameters of established policy and procedure.
Observe and report on residents’ conditions, and document observations as required.
Comply with requirements of procedures for safe lifting and/or safe transfer of residents per established policies and procedures.
Be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting.
Ensure that equipment is clean and functional.
Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as required to maintain a clean, hazard-free environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
State certification as a nursing assistant.
Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nursing assistant.
Highly developed observation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
