Non-Exempt

Schedule: Monday through Friday, Saturday
Hours: 3:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (5 hours per day)
Shift: Day Shift – 25 hours per week

This position may offer a signing bonus; eligibility will be confirmed during the interview process.

Major Responsibilities

Creates batches for reference laboratory; prepares samples for testing.

Receives specimens from couriers/transport personnel and readies them for analysis; receives site batches as necessary.

Places samples in correct rack for placement on analyzers.

Responsible for adding on tests for existing samples.

Responsible for test cancellation requests.

Answers phone in a professional manner and provides information for customers.

Prepares and transmits reports accurately for customers.

Performs laboratory testing under the direct supervision of the Charge Technologist, including but not limited to:

Urine dipstick testing.

Stool occult blood testing.

Kit testing (e.g., rapid strep, pregnancy, etc.).

Draws blood specimens from patients (Webster Campus only).

Helps in any department that may require assistance.

Performs other related duties as directed by Supervisor.

Position Qualifications
Required:

High School Degree; preferred with a strong background in the sciences.

Required:

Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.
