Works in the Cath Lab/EP department of a 296‑bed Level II Trauma hospital
Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients
Procedures include cardiac catheterization, EP ablations, peripheral angiograms, cerebral angiograms, and TEE/cardioversions
Moderate sedation is performed in this role
EMR: Cerner (experience highly preferred)
10-hour day shifts
On-call required approximately 8–10 days per month
Weekend requirements to be determined
Requirements
Active Illinois RN license required
Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
Minimum 2 years of current experience in cardiac cath and interventional radiology required
Experience providing moderate sedation required
COVID and flu vaccinations required — declinations will not be accepted
Prior travel experience highly preferred
Cerner EMR experience highly preferred
Additional Information
Responsibilities include acting as the first point of contact for referrals and patients, attending patient consultations, performing initial examinations and assessments, and making recommendations under the guidance of the interventional radiologist
Daily rounds and communication of patient progress to medical staff and the radiologist are expected
All patient rooms are private, supporting a healing-focused environment with modern medical technology
Any color or style of scrubs is acceptable
No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this assignment
