Position Summary
KIC Construction is seeking a Carpenter to construct and install structures and fixtures including drywall, wood, plywood, and wallboard in accordance with local building codes. Ideal candidates will be organized, reliable, and have experience working both independently and in a team-orientated environment.
Duties/Responsibilities
Measure and lay out ceiling grid
Measure, cut, and install drywall track and metal stud framing
Install doors, windows, frames, and hardware
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Ability to follow and give oral or written instructions
Must have

Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma/GED required
3 years' experience as a carpenter
Experience using hand and power tools
Prior experience performing the following preferred:
measuring and laying drywall track/framing
cutting and hanging drywall
installing doors, frames and hardware
Strong working knowledge of job-site safety procedures
Valid driver's license
OSHA certification is a plus
Work Environment
Office, Job Trailer, Onsite, outside in all weather conditions
Physical Requirements
Required to work standing up, walk, use hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment
Speak and listen, both over the phone and in person to customers and co-workers
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally required to work in a seated position, climb or balance and taste or smell.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 75lbs, and occasionally lift and/or more 75-100lbs.
Vision requirements include: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
