Responsibilities
Provide patient care in an emergency setting with initiative, flexibility, and responsibility with minimal supervision.
Responsible for safe, rapid, and accurate triage of emergency patients.
Communicate with physicians regarding patient status and condition changes.
Must be willing to cross-train in other nursing departments as needed.
Requirements
Active California RN license required
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
2+ years of recent ER experience
Working knowledge of T-System and CPSI EMRs
Must pass a nursing medication test prior to starting
Basic computer skills required
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, staff, and the public
DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
Night shift hours: 19:00–07:30, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday
Floating to Med/Surg may be required as needed
Holiday coverage required for New Year's, Thanksgiving, and Christmas only
13-week contract
EMR systems used: T-System and CPSI
