Job Summary And Responsibilities
As a Behavioral Health Clinician with the Dignity Health Medical Foundation, now part of CommonSpirit Health, you’ll help our patients and their families feel comfortable and educated when they’re in the clinic. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help deliver effective treatments to our patients.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct initial intake assessment and evaluations, providing crisis intervention services when needed and assist in detection of high‑risk patients
Interact with patients throughout the day, serving as their eyes and ears to notice any changes in patient health and behavior
Offer linkages and referrals to appropriate services
Work independently and be self‑directed
Have a strong understanding of mental health diagnoses and evidence‑based treatment methods, adhere to the W & I Codes, and maintain professional and ethical behavior at all times
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY/STEWARDSHIP: Adhere to time and attendance policy; utilize work time efficiently through proper time management, show flexibility in schedule to meet clinic, client and team needs, and contribute to office efficiency by completing tasks in a timely manner. Participate in problem‑solving to overcome barriers to effective work
JUDGMENT/DECISION MAKING: Demonstrate ability to assess a situation, consider alternatives, select and implement an appropriate and tactful course of action
BILLING DOCUMENTATION QUALITY: Maintain high quality billing documentation
Job Requirements
Experience in providing a variety of clinical modalities and services to clients of all ages and a broad variety of diagnoses
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Masters degree in an appropriate behavioral science discipline. Maintain current continuing education units as required for license renewal
Current unrestricted license in California as a Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Proficiency in DSM‑IV and DSM‑V, assessment skills, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and intervention skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Adherence to confidentiality requirements and standards
Ability to manage case load and schedule to meet productivity expectations; 75% of time must be spent in direct client services that can be billed
Minimum Qualifications
Experience providing a variety of clinical modalities and services to clients of all ages and a broad variety of diagnoses
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Masters degree in an appropriate behavioral science discipline
Current unrestricted license in California as a Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Proficiency in DSM IV and DSM‑V, assessment skills, crisis intervention, treatment planning, intervention skills, and managing electronic paperwork for insurance billing
Preferred Qualifications
Three or more years post‑licensure experience, especially in substance abuse treatment, eating disorders, or leading groups and classes
Experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief, focused therapy and comfort working a broad age range from youth through adults
Advanced training in evidence‑based practices
Work Arrangement
Hybrid in‑office and remote position.

Pay Range
$43.10 - $64.11 /hour
