
Registered Nurse (RN) (FULL-TIME-NIGHT SHIFT)

Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing or the Assistant Director of Nursing, this full‑time position provides nursing care to residents in our Health Care Center. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, planning and implementing care, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, interpreting policies, and directing care provided by Certified Nurse Assistants.
Shift & Hours
Full‑time position: 12‑hour shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities
Assess resident needs and provide nursing care as per the resident's care plan.
Complete assigned MDS and participate in interdisciplinary care plan conferences.
Ensure resident rights are maintained.
Provide emotional and spiritual support to residents, families, and staff.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques.
Support a restorative philosophy of care.
Maintain a clean, safe, homelike atmosphere and respect the individuality of each resident.
Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintain knowledge of and follow all Plymouth Place policies and procedures.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.
Attend in‑service and education programs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Understanding of Point Click Care or similar systems.
Experience in long‑term care or assisted living is recommended.
Knowledge of medication monitoring.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Solid organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient for job duties and interaction with residents, families, and employees.
Requirements
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
Minimum two years’ experience in a similar environment preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate with a large team.
