Marketing Specialist The Marketing Specialist will interface with customers and prospects, develop creative ideas and solutions, contribute to the development and implementation of marketing plans to support various business units, oversee a wide range of digital projects including the website and content creation to optimize SEO/GEO, and work in concert with sales staff in a highly collaborative environment. This position encompasses a creative, out-of-the box front-runner who understands the core competencies necessary to succeed in digital and social media platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strong digital creative developer and social media leader, who is also comfortable contributing at every stage of the marketing process. Marketing projects will incorporate a broad range of ongoing communication campaigns and tactics including:
Inbound marketing - preparation of email campaigns, custom landing pages, blogs and other marketing information and materials.
Create and deploy campaign framework including, key product messaging, case studies, white papers, social media content, etc.
Develop and evaluate initiatives to utilize new and existing content.
Develop and execute online strategy to attract and retain customers.
Support internal corporate communications.
Responsible for creating and delivering marketing programs to support the growth and expansion of company products and services.
Organize communication campaigns to include planning, promotion, and follow-up activities to support business relationship development.
Interface across departments with regard to Marketing efforts, initiatives and goals.
Conduct and/or provide research support:
Competitors.
Market trends.
Develop targeted sales tools (presentations, product briefs, video, newsletters).
Develop lead lists and qualify leads with contact information and profile data.
Assist in conducting surveys of competitive products; summarize and analyze data for management review.
Provide administrative support to Marketing, Sales and Operations
Ensure that Marketing requirements and expectations are met through quality workmanship.
Assist in fulfillment of sample requests.
Prepare product sample kits to assist the support sales and through preparation of product sample kits.
Manage and continually enhance social media plan; Updates and promotes social media network activity.
Manage trade show process, event and conference planning, including pre-show organization and post-show follow up, which includes but is not limited to:
Hotel reservations.
Assist in obtaining and assembling all collateral for the show, including samples, kits and literature.
Entry of lead information into HubSpot/Salesforce.
Basic online research of companies/businesses revealed through the lead generation process.
Ensure timely follow-up on leads generated from a trade event.
Manage website content updates to ensure information is current, accurate, and aligned with product positioning and customer needs.
Optimize user experiences through structured content, clear navigation, and performance-focused updates.
Support SEO and GEO optimization efforts, incorporating best practices influenced by AI-driven search (semantic search, intent-based content, and generative search results).
Track and report on keyword performance, organic traffic, and ranking changes, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Support Product Manager by conducting ongoing market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, competitive positioning, and emerging opportunities.
Analyze product performance, customer feedback, and sales insights to identify gaps, improvements, and differentiation opportunities.
Support product positioning, messaging, and content strategy with data-backed insights.
Monitor how AI-driven tools and platforms are influencing customer behavior, search results, and product discovery.
Translate research findings into clear recommendations for product, marketing, and sales teams.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline: Marketing, Sales, or Business
3 -5 years of work experience with solid marketing knowledge within manufacturing environment.
Skills Required:
Ability to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with internal and external customers.
Creative problem solving work proactively to solve problems as they arise, with solutions that satisfy all parties.
Adaptable, innovative and creative.
Effective time management and organizing skills and ability to meet specified deadlines.
Customer Service experience a plus. Excellent customer service philosophy with focus on efficient and effective responsiveness.
Intermediate technical proficiency including expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.
Experience with Adobe Creative suite.
Ability to present a professional image.
Proficient at driving cohesion and collaboration between people and functions
Experienced with social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and X.
Knowledge of solid marketing communications and promotions specific to industry needs.
Customer relationship management and networking.
Flexible to changing priorities and opportunities.
Familiarity with online publishing best practices.
Experience in Google Suite (Google Analytics, Web Master Tools, etc.) a major plus.
Experience in email and search engine marketing.
Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, etc.
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
Experience with marketing software is a plus (e.g., CRM tools, HubSpot, online analytics, etc.)
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties, the employee will be required to sit and/or stand, talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands, fingers and arms to feel objects or controls, reach with hands and arms. Prolonged standing/walking periods of 12 hours. May be required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift to 50 pounds.
