Salary
$32.15 - $48.23 Hourly
$66,880 - $100,320 Annually

Position Overview
This position will provide specialized nursing care for adult patients with chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders.
Duties
Duties may include but are not limited to medication administration, electrocardiogram's (EKG), taking patient vitals and educating patients and families.
Eligibility
All Applicants for this position must be licensed in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act 61-3-2 through 61-3-31 NMSA 1978 and 16.12.1 through 16.12.20 NMAC, as applicable. OR Eligibility for a temporary "Permit-to-Practice" issued for employment at a specific institution in New Mexico prior to obtaining a license. You must include your license or certificate number in the "License" section of the application form.
Customers
Adults who present with substance misuse and co-occurring disorders.
Ideal Candidate
Experience Developing Treatment plans.
Experience Working with patients with Substance Abuse and Co-occurring Disorders.
Experience providing health-related services such as, administering oral medications under physicians' orders or direction of a nurse.
Minimum Qualification
Must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico, or eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico requirements, or eligibility for a temporary license issued for employment at a specific institution in New Mexico and two (2) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.
Employment Requirements
This position is designated as safety sensitive. Employment is subject to pre-employment and random testing, in accordance with all terms and conditions of federal and state law, rules and regulations in relation to alcohol and/or drug testing. Employment is subject to nationwide criminal background check and is conditional pending results. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Certification from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive a Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
This position will provide services in an acute care hospital setting involving extended periods of walking, sitting, standing, and bending. Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Incumbent may be exposed to potentially violent patients in volatile situations requiring crisis interventions. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, and lifting and/or transfer of patients with or without assistance, using proper lifting and transfer techniques may be required.
Bargaining Unit Position
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement and all terms/conditions of that agreement apply and must be adhered to.
