
Acute Care Physical Therapist - Rehabilitation Services

Description
Evaluates, plans, directs and administers medically prescribed physical therapy programs in the hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury, or loss of body part. Assists patient to reach his/her maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities. The staff Physical Therapist also assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of those patients being treated by Physical Therapy Assistants and may be assigned to orient staff and students and to assume the duties and responsibilities of the supervisor in the absence of that individual. Performs administrative duties and participates in department Performance Improvement, Infection Control, Safety and Education programs.

Required Qualifications
Coursework/Training: Graduate of the American Physical Therapy Association training program.
Coursework/Training: Foreign‑trained applicants must complete a successful entry‑level educational equivalency review.
Upon hire: California Physical Therapist License.
Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in acute care, skilled nursing facility, outpatient, or sub‑acute care settings.

Location and Pay
Work Location: St Mary Medical Center‑Apple Valley, CA Apple Valley 18300 Hwy 18. Pay Range: $51.76 - $80.34 per hour. Additional compensation may be available such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
